Eileen Hooper Chapoton is a 1973 Loyola University New Orleans graduate with a BBA in Marketing. Mrs. Chapoton first entered Loyola as a freshman in 1969, returned as Annual Fund Director in 1987 and before leaving in 1991 to raise a family was the university’s Director of Alumni Relations. Eileen returned to Loyola in 2009 as the manager of recruitment, promotion and LPLC for the Loyola Institute for Ministry.
Eileen is responsible for the development and coordination of the Institute’s recruitment and promotional efforts. She recruits students for their graduate degree programs, which include Master of Religious Education (M.R.E.); Master of Pastoral Studies (M.P.S.); along with their parallel continuing education certificates; LIM’s dual degrees (M.P.S.) and (M.S.) in Counseling; and (M.P.S) and (M.C.J.) in Criminal Justice. She manages the Loyola Pastoral Life Center that hosts the Institute for Catholic School Leadership and operates the Specialized Certificates of Parish Life and Administration, Catechetical Leadership, and Christian Spirituality.
During the past 17 years, Eileen has worked at Our Lady Academy, an all girls’ Catholic high school in Bay St. Louis, Miss., as its Director of Development; with the University of Southern Mississippi-Gulf Coast as the Assistant Director of Major Gifts; and has run a successful stationery and invitation business from her home.
Mrs. Chapoton is a Secular Franciscan in the Saint Joan of Arc Region and in the Our Lady of the Pearl Fraternity. She has done graduate work at the University of Dallas in religious studies.
