Short Bio

Jennifer Shimek earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Tulane University and her master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Houston. Currently, she works with graduate students in the LIM onsite (extension) program as a writing consultant, editing and giving feedback on drafts of their course papers and is responsible for the production and maintenance of the Institute’s online course materials and forms.

She is also an adjunct faculty member in the English Department, teaching courses on expository and argumentative writing. In addition, she is a professional copy editor, having most recently completed work on Gerald Steinacher's Nazis on the Run: How Hitler's Henchman Fled Justice (Oxford University Press, 2011).
