Description

This course is for catechetical leaders (volunteer or  staff) who want to provide sound and effective programs in their parishes and communities.  It examines best practices in terms of key catechetical documents, such as those of Pope John Paul II, the National Directory of Catechesis, and others.  It also looks at the central role of the family and parish for catechesis, the essential skills of a catechetical leader, and gives students planning tools to develop catechetical programs, particularly in the parish. 

This course is designed for

  • Directors and coordinators of Religious Education
  • RCIA, sacramental prep, and adult faith formation coordinators
  • Those interested in expanding their catechetical  ministry skills in the 21st century.
