Those who have already earned a master’s degree from the Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM), one of the continuing education certificates that the Institute offers, or an appropriate graduate degree from another accredited college or university may choose to seek an additional professional, continuing education-credit credential from the Institute, the Advanced Continuing Education Certificate in Pastoral Studies. This certificate allows students to update their theology and practical ministry skills while finding a source of personal and spiritual fulfillment.

This program consists of 12 hours of specialized, continuing education (CEU credits) study through the completion of four 3 credit courses in two Focus Areas. An application for the certificate is to be completed and emailed to the LIM office lim@loyno.edu upon successful completion of nine-hours of course work toward the certificate (the first focus course of the second focus area).
Courses may be taken on campus, on site, or online. LIM certificate or degree graduates may reapply online. Other students need to apply for full admission. Transfer credits from other educational institutions are not accepted.
