Statement of Educational Purpose

for LIM On Campus Applicants

Your statement of educational purpose will enable the admission committee to understand your reasons for applying to Loyola Institute for Ministry and your ability to profit from our programs.  This statement should be a three-page, double-spaced, typewritten essay that reflects your present understanding of how LIM can help you improve your ministry.  This essay should be printed on separate paper with heading including the following: name, address, social security number, date, and the title, "Statement of Educational Purpose, LIM."  Please state as clearly as possible your reasons for seeking a master's degree, a continuing education certificate, or entering as a graduate non-degree-seeking student.  You may also include any additional information about yourself that you believe would assist the admission committee in evaluating your academic and ministerial background as well as information that will aid the committee in assessing your ability to engage in this graduate-level ministry education program.
