Academic/Professional Experience

  • Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2002-2006
    • Director of Child and Family Faith Formation/Director of Religious Education, Alexandria, VA
    • Diane was was responsible for formation classes, recruiting and training hundreds of volunteers, and leading the catechetical efforts in a multi-cultural parish over over 3000 families.. She was active at the diocesan catechetical level and served as the representative of the Catechetical Leaders of Arlington to the NCCL Baltimore-Washington province.
  • Catholic Charities USA, 1991-2006
    • Newsletter Editor, Special Assistant to the President, Executive Assistant to the President
    • Diane staffed the membership section for CEOs and the organization’s board of trustees, including several of its committees. She managed several special events each year such as an annual breakfast gathering for 90 bishops and sections of the annual membership meeting.
    • She was the lead staff member to Catholic Charities USA’s strategic planning process, Vision 2000 , and was a contributor and primary writer of chapters of the final report. She also was a researcher of the USCC pastoral, In All Things Charity, and wrote parts of the final message. Diane continued at Catholic Charities USA while she served at Good Shepherd and was responsible for managing the diocesan donations to the 2005 Hurricane Relief Fund.
  • Children's National Medical Center, 1998-1999 - Student Chaplain
    • Diane served patients and their families on the burn, cardiac, and neonatal intensive care units during her graduate studies.

Personal

  • Diane relocated to New Orleans after 20 years in the Washington, DC area. She’s a New Jersey native and visits her home state frequently to see her family, especially her nieces. She loves to travel, garden, kickbox, and explore her new home town. She’s also a huge baseball fan and is devoted to the New York Yankees.
